What grade are you in?
“I’m in 10th grade and I am home schooled through an online program.”
How did you get into the game of Golf and what age?
“I was six years old when I started playing Golf as we were members at the Dunes Club in Myrtle Beach. My brothers Chase and Will got me into the game but my brother Chase saw that I had talent and inspired me to play the game. When I was eight or nine years old, I began to play golf with my brothers all the time and both of them kept me going forward.”
What is your best score?
“My best score is 72 multiple times but my first was at World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach for a tournament. When I was 10, I won a USGA Kids tournament at Patriots Point Links by shooting 34 for nine holes and last year I won a National Jr. Tournament at Coastal Carolina’s home course.”
Who is your mentor/hero?
“My Grandfather, Harry Charlston. My grandfather was a true gentleman and treated everyone with respect. I saw that as kid growing up and want to be just like him. I try to say hello to every person I meet and shake their hands. My inspiration comes from my grandfather especially being named after him.”
What is your favorite golf course that you played?
“Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester, Vermont.” ECC hosted the 1914 US Amateur which was won by fame amateur golfer, Francis Ouimet.
What is your favorite hole at Patriots Point Links?
“My favorite hole is #4, the par 5. I like how the entire hole can change based on the wind and it offers a great risk – reward.”
Do you have a Golf Professional that teaches you?
“Yes, Brandon Ray. I have received lessons from Brandon for the last two years and I love how encouraging he is and how he believes in me and my future.”
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
“Salmon….yes ladies and gentlemen, Salmon. I love seafood!”
What are your other hobbies?
“Pool, Archery, Movies, and being with family”
What are your goals in Golf?
“I would like to play in College. I don’t have a current choice of school yet but afterward I would continue to play my way in hopes of becoming a professional. The one tournament that I would want to win is the U.S. Amateur as it’s my favorite event because of the rich history.”
What is your goal in 2020?
“I would like to shoot under par consistently and win some junior tournaments.”
