Situated on the edge of Charleston Harbor and offering spectacular views of the city, Fort Sumter, and ships arriving from all over the world, Patriots Point has been for years a favorite place to play for local Charleston golfers and resort guests. It’s located in Mount Pleasant at the foot of the Cooper River bridge and just five minutes from downtown. Any golf trip to South Carolina’s historic city of Charleston is not complete without a round at this memorable harbor side golf course.
The amenities you will enjoy at Patriots Point include a lighted driving range with PGA instruction, a southern style clubhouse, golfers’ grill and patio, and one of the most popular wedding and event facilities in Charleston.
If we haven’t seen you recently, we look forward to having you on the course again soon. However, we wanted to address our playing conditions and make sure we are being as transparent as possible. The greater Charleston area experienced extreme flooding in late 2015. As the 2016 season approached, our cool weather grass began to burn out like it should, but our Bermuda grass did not return to allow for quality playing conditions. With that, most of our greens have very little grass at this time.
As we continue to work hard to bring our greens conditions back to the level we expect, we will be planting new sprigs on #1, 6, and 15 on July 12. These three greens will be closed through September 1, and we expect all of our greens to be back in good condition by the last weekend in August. Our normal seasonal rates of $69 weekday and $89 weekend have been adjusted to $39 weekday and $45 weekend through August 31. We will also continue offering a bounce back certificate to anyone who plays with us through August 31, allowing you to return when conditions improve for only $25. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
